Revitalisation of the PR for Doro
A long-running PR effort for Doro has now been extended to include brand building activities aimed at increasing the awareness of the company and its senior-friendly products.

The Swedish manufacturer of mobile phones Doro has renewed the contract with Related for the seventh year running. Thus, Related will be able to continue the PR work on the Danish market for the next year. Doro is known for their mobiles designed for seniors – they adapt the phones to their needs and not the other way around. As mobiles are getting smaller and smaller and containing more technology than ever, Doro has moved in the other direction and designed simple mobiles with fewer functions and larger keys. That makes it easier for seniors to make calls and text because they actually can hear the phone, which is compatible with hearing aids, and it is also easier to hit the right key and see what is on the screen.

Over the years, Related has been doing product PR for Doro and adapted their international PR messages to the Danish market. At the same time, Related has been the link between Doro and the Danish media. That work will continue but the PR will also include a range of brand building activities as well. 

- So far the PR has worked very well and produced good press coverage in a lot of relevant magazines. In the next year, focus will be on brand building activities in order to increase the awareness of Doro and their products. We will arrange speaking opportunities, search for new partnerships and potential brand alliances in Denmark that will increase the awareness of Doro among relevant end-users and trade groups. Events and a Danish Facebook site are also on the drawing board, says Communications Specialist at Related Mette Ohana.
