Exploring creative neighborhoods in Miami
Related recently escorted a Pan-European press trip for Greater Miami and The Beaches focusing on Creative Neighborhoods. The itinerary showcased the ever evolving arts & culture scene and the unique neighborhoods and unexpected locales that permeate the landscape.

One behalf of Greater Miami and the Beaches, Related recently escorted a group of Scandinavian journalists on a Pan-European press trip to Miami focusing on the creative neighborhoods in the city.

Activities included a food tour on South Beach, a tour of the Wolfsonian Museum, tours of Little Havana, the Wynwood District, the Miami Design District and the MiMo District (Miami Modern Art), as well as an introduction to the new and upcoming Faena District on Miami Beach, the Arts & Entertainment District and the Ironside District on Upper East Side.

A taste of the city’s hotels and restaurants
During four days, the journalists stayed at two different hotels: First at the boutique hotel Circa 39 at Miami Beach and afterwards in the 50’s-inspired The Vagabond Hotel in the MiMo District. The original 50’s-hotel has gone through and extensive renovation but has kept its original retro style.  Magazines and fashion brands are now competing about using the hotel rooms as ’back-drop’ for photographs and articles.

The journalists also got to taste the culinary scene of Miami, mixing everything from Cuban to South American dishes with European and Mediterranean inspiration – a mix that really showcases the multiple cultures in Miami.

- The purpose of the press trip was to show that Miami is so much more than Miami Beach and Ocean Drive. On this trip, media got the opportunity to explore the destinations within the destination that foster creativity. The journalists liked this untraditional program and they all returned back home with new inspiration and increased knowledge about Miami as a travel destination, explains Helene Hofverberg, Account Manager for Greater Miami and the Beaches Convention Bureau (GMCVB) at Related.
