Related appointed by Miami as Scandinavian PR agency
Related has been appointed by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), to head up its destination PR and media relations in Scandinavia. The aim is to increase its media presence in Scandinavia, making Greater Miami and the Beaches a must-visit destination for Swedish, Danish and Norwegian travelers.

Related is responsible for inspiring the Scandinavian tourists about, making Miami a preferred destination and inspire more Scandinavians to visit all year around. 

Over the past years, Related has earned the market position as one of the leading agencies that specializes in travel PR, and the tourism team is looking forward to using their expertise to reveal Miami’s unique treats to the Scandinavian tourists. Our latest research published in the Travel Image 2015 report shows that Miami is among the top 20 preferred city destinations in the Nordics. It is an attractive, contemporary lifestyle destination and new direct routings from our region means that it is also very accessible, says Helene Hofverberg, Senior Executive at Related.
One agency – three countries
Related will work in close cooperation with the GMCVB’s press office in Miami to execute strategies and adjust key messages and campaigns to fit the three individual, Scandinavian markets.
- We have built up a strong network that enables us to have a deep understanding of how to handle all three markets at the same time in the best way possible. This is very important, as the Scandinavian countries might seem very homogeneous from the outside, but in reality, there are great differences to take into consideration in regards to media, travel habits and customs of the individual countries, Helene Hofverberg explains.
Scandinavians are in large known as big spenders and frequent travelers that love to travel ‘West’, and now it will be in the hands of Related to convince them that Greater Miami and the Beaches is a must-visit destination when travelling to the US.
