Roadshow with exotic atmosphere
In November, the Philippines Department of Tourism in collaboration with Related invited the Scandinavian travel industry to a colorful roadshow with the uplifting theme ‘It’s more fun in the Philippines’. The roadshow took place in the three Scandinavian capitals: Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen.

This November, tropical skies came to Scandinavia when the Philippines Department of Tourism went on a three-day roadshow in Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo to bring attention to the gems that the tropical island nation has to offer Scandinavian tourists.  Related were responsible for the guest list, invitations and the dialogue with the Scandinavian tour operators as well as securing the locations, hiring photographers and being in charge of decorations. Additionally, Hanna Johansson from Related was present at all the events to assist and do a presentation of the Philippines.
All three events were kicked off with a speech from Benito C. Bengzon jr. who is Undersecretary at the Philippines Department of Tourism. Afterwards, the participants from the Nordic travel industry got the chance to become more familiar with the sunny island nation through a presentation of the Philippines accompanied by a glass of champagne. The evenings also included a speed dating where the participants met with new trade partners from the Philippines.

It´s more fun in the Philippines
The positive atmosphere became festive when the Philippine band Zel Band surprised the crowd with an entertaining concert where they played the new theme song “It’s more fun in the Philippines” - composed especially for this event. Additionally, Philippine inspired delicacies were served, and an entertaining bartender provided the happy crowd with colorful umbrella drinks from the palm tree bar.

Later, the guests were entertained by the talented beatboxer Neil from Asia’s Got Talent, who impressed with his electric sounding beats. In the end, the participants were able to perpetuate the brightly colored Philippine night with a fun picture.
