Related attended Norwegian workshop for travel trade operators with success
About 100 sales representatives and 250-300 potential buyers participated last week when the second edition of TravelMatch took place in Oslo. The workshop gave the participants the opportunity to exchange information about the possibilities of Norway’s outbound tourism. Related was represented with Czech Tourism and The Croatian National Tourist Board.

All travel trade operators in Norway were invited to the workshop, which was arranged by the organisation of Norway’s tourist agencies, Antor. Thus, optimal conditions existed for Related’s two clients, Czech Tourism and The Croatian National Tourist Board, to both nurture existing relations while equally creating new contacts.

- The number of Norwegian tourists paying Croatia a visit increased by approximately 50 percent in 2012 compared to 2011, which primarily is a result of the many direct flights between the two countries. We attended the workshop with five different hotels and incoming agencies to utilise the good flight connections to create even further interest in Croatia, says Paul Sikic, director of The Croatian National Tourist Board.

During recent years, it is not only Croatia that has experienced increased Norwegian interest. Director of Czech Tourism in the Nordic market, Lucie Vallin, reports about a successful workshop that provided great conditions for establishing contact with representatives from the attractive Norwegian travel market.

- It was obvious that the workshop was arranged for the second time. Many deep-pocketed agencies were represented, which gave the opportunity to represent our spa resorts and hotels as well as incoming travel agencies in the best possible way and focus attention on the Czech Republic, says Lucie Vallin.

For two successive years, TravelMatch has been held the day before the big travel fair in Oslo.
