Tour operators got a taste of The Dominican Republic
Our employee representative recently returned from white bounty beaches and 25 degrees in The Dominican Republic. During the trip, tour operators were presented to the many tourism opportunities in the Caribbean paradise.

Nine Danish travel agents recently participated in a so-called familiarization trip to The Dominican Republic, where the participants connected with local stakeholders such as resorts, agents and some of the biggest tourist attractions. We arranged the trip in collaboration with The Dominican Republic's office in Stockholm and Air France/KLM Denmark.

Among many experiences, the six-day long familiarization trip included a number of hotel inspections, guided tours in The Dominican Republic's historic capital, Santo Domingo, and a visit to one of the world's best golf resorts Casa de Campo, tempting visitors with no less than five golf courses.

But as the picture indicates, both the guide and the participants also found time to test whether the water was warm enough for a swim. We are pleased to report that it was!

Satisfied participants
- It was a very eventful trip, and it was a pleasure to show The Dominican Republic to a wide segment of Danish tour operators. From personal experience, they were confirmed that this destination lives up to its motto "Dominican Republic - Has it all", says Pia Sørensen, trade and marketing consultant at Related.

The participants are also enthusiastic about the benefits of the trip.

- It was a very interesting and useful inspection trip. Now you feel at home when the product is sold, and that is of utmost importance, concludes Per Reither, CEO at Svane Rejser.

Our next task in Related will be to coordinate and develop new programs for tour operators to The Dominican Republic.
