At Copenhagen Cooking Festival with the Singapore Tourism Board
The last week in August the streets were full of life in Copenhagen as Copenhagen Cooking festival took place and gave food-loving Danes the opportunity to explore the culinary world of food. Singapore Tourism Board held a series of events during the festival, so Henrik and Mia took the tough job of tasting their way through Singapore's multi-ethnic kitchen along with a variety of gastro-journalists and food bloggers.

Curious and food-loving locals and visitors could during the Copenhagen Cooking Festival swing by Vesterbro Torv and experience some of the Singaporean culture. The entire square was in fact turned into an outdoor Street Food Festival, where two booths were staffed by chefs flown directly in from Singapore just for this occasion.

The visitors were given the opportunity to get acquainted with chefs from two very popular street kitchens in Singapore; Keng Eng Kee Seafood and Kway Guan Huat Joo Chiat Popiah. The chefs were bringing local spices and ingredients with them to create a variety of tasty side dishes that were presented to the attendees. A cozy atmosphere spread on the square with the smell from the various booths, and the deep-fried shrimp and fresh spring rolls were torn away by the enthusiastic guests.
Theme night with Singapore specialties
During the festival Singapore Tourism Board also organized a theme night at the restaurant Namnam. The restaurant was visited by the three chefs Lee Boon Seng, Bryan Chia and Petrina Loh from the restaurants Osia and Morsels in Singapore. The chefs created a unique six-course menu for guests who got a culinary trip to Singapore.
In connection with the festival, Related arranged and coordinated a press dinner for invited journalists and food and travel bloggers. In addition, a TV program about the five chefs from Singapore was recorded and shoots for Jyllands-Posten TV which later this year will show a few demonstrations of how you can cook the Singaporean specialties at home.
